About Hind's Feet Christian Counseling LLC
Many people have questions about where the name Hind's Feet Christian Counseling came from. I can't take full credit for the name because I believe the Holy Spirit brought it to mind while I was in church one weekend. I had been questioning what my next move should be in my career, and although I can't recall much about the sermon, I can say that I left the service feeling inspired to pursue starting a private practice.
Hind's feet are mentioned at the end of the book of Habakkuk in my favorite passage of Scripture, Habakkuk 3:17-19a, which reads "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer [or hinds' feet in the King James translation], he enables me to tread on the heights."
These verses highlight the fact that we can find peace, joy, and strength in spite of trials, through faith in the Lord.
